Thank God It’s Friday or Thank Goodness It’s Friday also known as TGIF is a popular Friday update used by all and sundry. Some peeps say TGIF for them is Thank God I’m Favoured. Whatever expression given to it, its short and popular name is #TGIF.

It portrays weekend is finally here and unwinding mode activated.

Whether you worked hard during the week or yes it is #TGIF and nothing less.

Constant Social Media use reveals people often time argue on who should update and flood timelines with this acronym. Well, this article tends towards satisfying some curiosities.

Here’s the list of who should not;

1. PRESIDENT/GOVERNORS – NO

This is like shutting down the Nation and States. If my President updates #TGIF I will travel out of the Country for safety.

2. CEOS’ – NO

Their week just started. Meetings hitherto cancelled are usually rescheduled on Saturday and Sunday at exquisite locations. Next time you see an update from your friend who claims to own a business empire or be a business tycoon on a Friday with #TGIF, cease to take him serious.

4. STUDENTS – NO

Lectures end and assignments begin. As many as the assignments are will determine how much time of their Friday and Weekend they have to Party.

5. PARENTS – NO

Schools are shut down, Kids are at home and an eye has to be kept on them. Some Teachers give take home assignments in all subjects, wow, so much help to render.

6. WRITERS – NO

You rest, you snooze. We work all round the Clock. The brain can not just stop booting for content ideas.

6. BUSINESS/TRADERS – NO

The week just began. They are expecting thunderous weekend sales. Their target customers will come shopping. Automatically No time for updates.

So who then should update #TGIF

1. EMPLOYEES – YES

They have been well harnessed by their Boss’ all week. They need maximum rest which weekend is often not even enough and in just Two days, work resumes. They are permitted to #TGIF.

2. IDLERS – YES

They acquire more impetus and audacity to idle away in form of unwinding idleness. After all everyone is officially at home and it is weekend officially. So #TGIF
