History of Education is concerned with the study of how societies have transmitted their Culture from one generation to another. It also explains how education became an instrument of problem solving activity in the society from one age to another.<\/p>\n
History of Education is the study of major educational developments in the society which took place in the past for the present and future generation. It tries to study the educational practices of the past, noting their strength and weaknesses, so as to build a better system.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, There is concrete evidence that there was some form of learning before the advent of the Europeans in Nigeria. There existed a philosophy of traditional education and Islamic education.<\/p>\n

Intellectual training, including singing and counting, games and arithmetic.<\/p>\n vi. Study of facts about natural environments: Introductions to names of different objects, plants, animals.<\/p>\n vii.
