About The Scholarship

It aims to be an open university in all aspects, and we are a frontrunner in university reform in Japan.
KDDI Foundation is offering scholarships for international students. These scholarships are available for pursuing master’s and doctoral program in the field of information and communications technology or related matters at 43-designated universities.
This program was introduced 2018, in commemoration of the 10th anniversary of KDDI Foundation.
The award will be given to the researchers who have fulfilled the excellent achievements in the information communication and related fields.
For the researchers who are expected to be active in the future, KDDI Foundation Encouragement award will be granted.
Requirements
- Academic Transcripts
- Application Forms: Application Form 1: (WORD) and Application Form 2: (WORD)
- Recommendation Letter: (WORD)
- English language requirements
- The applicants must compulsorily have completed 12 years of school education outside Japan to be admitted in any programme as an international student in Tsukuba.
- The applicants are required to have attempted TOEFL or IELTS and submit the scores of the tests.
