Design and Implementation of an Android Based Automatic Sector Antenna Positioning Using Atmega328p. (Case Study: Namuyenje Site in Mokono)

ABSTRACT.  To achieve most accurate coverage area results during installations of sector antennas, the technical team must create a coverage map for each of the sectors basing on the provided coverage values. The technical team uses these values to make manual position adjustments of sector antennas. Manual antenna adjustments are sometimes risky in a way that unexpected accidents usually occur that even result into death. To overcome such scenarios, an android based sector Antenna positioni...

A Study to Investigate into The Application of Resource Planning Techniques by Small and Medium Sized Contractors in Uganda.

CHAPTER ONE:  INTRODUCTION 1.1 Background Uganda has got many Small and Medium Sized Contractors (SMSC) engaged in the construction business. Some of these (SMSC) change business name and scope within a short time because of the competitiveness pressures within the construction industry. Little is achieved by these struggling SMSC due to the level of development of the local construction industry (LCI). Recent studies show that the Local Construction Industry is not very competitive, undeve...

Derivation of Polynomial Functions for The Prediction of Critical Axial Forces in Bridge Trusses.

ABSTRACT This study presents the derivation of polynomial functions for the prediction of critical axial forces in bridge trusses. Four different bridge trusses were considered in this study, three of which are statically determinate while one is statically indeterminate. These trusses at different height to span (aspect) ratios were tested for critical axial forces under the same conditions. The graphs of their critical axial forces against aspect ratios were plotted and this led to the find...

Mechanical and Microstructural Analysis of Equal Channel Angular Pressing of Almg3 Alloy with Additional 30o Twist Angle

ABSTRACT Equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) has over the years been used as a severe plastic deformation method to refine the grains and improve the strength of various metals. Even though this has been largely successful, research over the years has tried to increase the amount of strain induced in the materials used during this process so as to further increase the strength. In this research, an additional 30o twist angle was incorporated into the outlet channel of one of the ECAP dies ...

Synthesis and Characterization of Tin Iv Oxide (Sno2) Nanoparticles for Energy Applications

ABSTRACT Electrochemical capacitors (ECs) or Super capacitors (SCs) are energy saving devices which have excellent properties that include high power density, long cycle life, low temperature sensitivity and low maintenance cost. However, these devices have lower energy densities than conventional batteries. To improve on its energy density, SnO2 which is a metal oxide was considered as an electrode material because of its chemical inertness and thermal stability. SnO2 nanoparticles were syn...
