Afribary is building the biggest online academic library/platform for higher education in Africa where students can share/access academic (research, study) content with ease.
We are looking for a young, smart, hardworking intern to assist our strategic content development and growth efforts.
The Growth Intern (content development) will work primarily on
- growing content (research, study, career etc) on our online library website/app by leveraging on a variety of low/zero cost strategies
- researching, compiling relevant content (eg opportunities, exam/test preps, study guides etc) for the online library app/website
- Identifying and working with the right professionals to create quality career content (career guides, professional study guides, Study abroad guides, exam/test preps and guides etc)
This is a paid 6 months internship that may lead to a permanent Content Growth & Development position based on performance.
Duties/Responsibilities
The candidate will among other things
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with the management team to develop initiatives to grow content (across the major categories) on the Afribary platform to meet quarterly goals
- Establish & refine quarterly KPIs and measure effectiveness of each strategy/initiative
- Research, compile specific content for the Afribary app/website (such as opportunities, exhaustive study guides, exam/test questions for major professional and academic exams/tests etc)
- Brainstorm and implement ways to grow study content from across Universities in Nigeria
- Devise zero or low cost strategies to grow research content via offline and online channels
Requirements/Qualities/Skills
- Degree from a recognised institution
- Excellent communication (speaking & writing) skills
- Excellent research skills
- Organisational skills
- Creative and innovative
- Relentless, hardworking
- Passionate about education (especially higher education)
- Can work with little supervision
- Basic knowledge of 3 types of online marketing – social media advertising, content marketing, email marketing
- Working knowledge of Google Drive, Google Sheets and MS Office

- Have access to a laptop/computer and steady internet
- Must be able to work remotely without distraction
- Be able to travel when/if required
