Scholarships 2021 – 2025
In 2018, UM and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) signed a 5-year Cooperative Agreement. Within this framework, UM annually provides 30 research scholarships to qualified Chinese Master students from universities or research institutions. Beyond the 30 guaranteed spots, you’re of course welcome to apply through the CSC General Programme as well.

- We take the supervision of each candidate seriously. To make sure that you will finish within the restricted time of 4 years, we always have 2 supervisors guide each PhD candidate.
- There is NO tuition fee for CSC PhD candidates at UM.
- CSC PhD candidates within the Cooperative Programme, and basically those within the General Programme as well, will receive free accommodation for 12 months at UM housing facilities. This is the equivalent of a monthly € 400 support, but not a cash funding.
