A brief analysis of the pamphlet; Common Sense by Thomas Paine.

The pamphlet, commonsense, was written by Paine to serve not just for the purpose of adding to an already overstocked body of literature concerning government, political systems, and society but specifically for the purpose of changing an ideology that at a time was prevalent.

It is note-worthy to add that all of Paine’s ideas as far as Common Sense is concerned was based on the ideas of the Age of enlightenment; individualism, progress and reason with a particular focus on the aspect of reason. Paine believed that any political ideology that does not conform to the principle of reason is dialectical and repugnant to natural justice, equity and good conscience and as such, would do nobody any good.
