Abstract.
Nanotechnology has potential on a very large scale to increase the selectivity and potential of many physical, chemical and biological approach to draw out cancerous cell death and lowering the toxicity to non malignant cell . designing of multifunctional nanomaterials that are capable of targeting tumour cell delivering and releasing drugs in a regulated manner and detecting tumour with greatest specificity . Cancer is the major cause of mortality throughout the world this type of advanced technology are urgently needed. The development of nanomaterials and nanocarrier has allowed to improve drug delivery in tumor. The major role of these nanocarrier application has been to pr otect these nanomaterials from rapid degradation to certain enzymes and allow it to reach safely at the tumor site. These nanocarriers are use to deliver drugs either by passive targeting by leaky tumor vasculature or by active targeting by ligand(receptor mediated endocytosis). Different cancer detection technique like carbon nanotubes (CNTs) nanorods and biosensors are available. This writeup proposal give us an idea about the possible potential of nanotechnology in drugs delivery drug targeting designing of cancer.
