ABSTRACT:

Security challenge is serious nightmare and issue eroding down nation’s building and to every citizen in Nigeria. This challenge has permeated deep towards national development. Citizens no longer move freely as they should, everyone moves with fear in his /her heart. No region in Nigeria is left out with this menace and bothersome challenge. South east is immensely bulked with its security challenge of kidnapping, incessant barbaric killing of security personals and some of its citizens, and Anambra State not left out. In Anambra State, innocent people usually scamper for safety as a result of the security challenges; the sporadic shooting could make some of these innocent citizens fall prey to stray bullets. And the research bothers on the role of smart textile could play toward the security challenge in Anambra State and its utmost importance. It further asks questions, if any smart textile could aid in the security challenge and how far have they been able to put to play to arrest the security challenge in State. The research employed the use of quantitative analysis. Interview, photograph and observations as research instruments. The study encourages the use of smart textile to solve the security challenges in Anambra state and in Nigeria as a whole.
