Accessibility To Reproductive Health Services By Women With Disabilities. A Case Study: Buwalasi Subcounty. Sironko District

ABSTRACT

The study was carried out to determine the accessibility to and utilization of RH services

by the women with disabilities in Buwalasi Sub-county, Sironko District. Recently many

disabled women in Buwalasi Sub-county have been sidelined from accessing and

utilizing the RH services, and if accessed are not fully utilized. Therefore the aim of the

study was to establish the extent to which women with impairments access and utilize RH

services and suggest the possible ways of addressing the factors that do not enable them

to access and utilize these services.

The information obtained from this study will not only benefit Buwalasi Sub-county, but

also other areas which have the same problem. The administration and other policy

makers will also be in position to establish the channels of disseminating RI-il and

services to women with disabilities and find possible solutions of addressing problems

faced by these disabled women in their communities. The study was presented in five

chapters; Chapter one deals with the introduction and background of the study, the

statement of the research problems and questions of the study the study.

Chapter two presents views of the study in relation to the already available information

from other sources.

Chapter three deals with the methodology and tools used the area of study, the study

design, the population sample and the limitations of the study.

Chapter four deals with data analysis, interpretation and presentation, The results from

the study carried out revealed that accessibility and utilization of RH services by women

with disabilities in not sufficient. Chapter five entails the summery of the findings, the

conclusion, recommendations and suggestions for future researcher
