An Examination of the Consequences of Winding Up of a Company in Uganda

ABSTRACT
This research examines the consequences of winding up a company in Uganda. The stud: investigates the principles under winding up or liquidation of a company which includes the scope and nature of liquidation, the interpretation of the doctrine of winding up of a company. It further discusses the modes of winding up and basis for winding up, the options available to a company which does not want to go to winding up, and also provides the recommendations. Conclusively in Uganda as a nation despite the normal procedures of winding up that can lead n company into liquidation. there are other options available for the company that can not lead it into liquidation such as corporate rescue, administration. e.t.c. the researcher also recommends' that the companies that desire to go into liquidation can opt for other measures other than winding up.
