Assessment of Teaching Method in Junior Secondary Schools in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State

This study focused on the Assessment of Teaching Method in Junior Secondary Schools in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. The findings from various JSS technical education have shown that series of JSS students poor performances both internal and external examinations. The researcher being worried about this ugly incidence, therefore, decided to devote this study to investigate, identify and verify possible causes of this poor performance, various method of teaching them and suggest ways of eliminating the bottlenecks. A simple survey design was used in this research. The instrument used was the questionnaire, and the responses was analyzed by percentage. It was concluded that JSS do not have adequate laboratory and workshop equipment, inadequate funding, qualified and skillful teachers, poor classroom environment and poor family background.
