ABSTRACT
The study was carried as the concerns regarding the sustainability of disarmament
interventions The main. objective of the .study was to investigate the effects of disarmament.
on the socio economic wellbeing of the people.
Chapter two co.na as tile. literature review of the related literature, for decades~ the
karamojongs have been owned without which there cannot be meaningful development. Past experience has shewn at uncoormated disarmament intervention leads to insecurity and
greater demand for arms.
Chapter three contains introduction~ research design, population, sampling, techniques, and
source of data, data collection instruments, measurements of variables, reliability and
variability, data ana ysis and preseatatien and limitations ofthe ‘stady.
The study findings indicate that disarmament was conducted in two phases and in the first
