The main instruments for data collection were basically questionnaires. The target population was 173 of which a total of 120 respondents were selected. The research was principally descriptive involving both qualitative and quantitative techniques of data analysis. Various data analyses procedures were applied: descriptive analyses, Pearson's correlation coefficient, single regression and multiple regression analyses in order to achieve the objectives of the study. Data collected using questionnaires and a structured interview guide was analyzed using frequency counts in form of percentages and was later tabulated to determine the relationship between variables. The result of the study puts forth a simple framework of supply chain management solutions for overcoming logistics difficulties during relief operations and explains why managers should consider their use. NGOs in all sectors, commercial, military and others should make use of planning and risk management, leading to faster implementation, more comprehensive identification of potential risks and easier coordination with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. It will help to establish rules and strategies, assign responsibilities, coordinate responses, and monitor current conditions. NGOs should provide a common language for supply chain classification and analysis. Using a common language and framework makes it easier for teams to communicate, speeds benchmarking efforts, and enhances the evaluation of best practices.
