EFFECTIVE USE OF THE INTERNET AND COMPUTER IN COMPUTER SCIENCE EDUCATION RESEARCH WRITING

ABSTRACT
The study examined the effective use of the internet and computer in computer science education research writing. The major purpose of the application of internet in research writing is to enable the researchers to obtain the necessary materials relevant to their research. It has been observed that not many researchers can actually obtain such materials even though there are thousands of materials relevant to every field of study on the internet. The reasons for this inability were identified as the factors that hinders effective internet search. These include: computer illiteracy, ignorance of the right type of search tools to use, the use of wrong web address, poor starting of internet search, secure website, premature termination of search, lack of knowledge of the availability of research help facilities on the internet etc. Recommendations were made on how to make effective use of the internet for computer science education research purposes.
