The Design and Construction of A Mobile Station Compatible Hearing Aid (with Volume and Pitch Control)

ABSTRACT

It would seem that hearing is secondrate sense when compared to vision in our visually oriented modern society. People with hearing loss delay decision to get hearing help because they are unaware of the fact that receiving early treatment for hearing loss has the potential to literally transform their lives. Research by the National Council on the Aging on more than 2,000 people with hearing loss demonstrated that hearing aids clearly are associated with impressive improvements in the social, emotional, psychological, and physical well-being of people with hearing loss in all hearing loss categories from mild to severe. This report present savery simple, low cost and highly effective way to design mobile station compatible hearing aid device (with digital volume and pitch control) in order to help those with these hearing impairments. Finally, the design and construction would be professionally implemented, with industry standard software and tools. microcontroller will be programmed using Microchip’s MPLABv8.30, while the design and simulation of the project will be accomplished using Lab center’s Proteus Professional 7.5, Students’ CircuitMaker Prov2.1.5.0. In addition, the final construction would be done on PCB (printed circuit board), with model board packaging for final usage.
