Impact of Entrepreneurial Leadership on The Performance of Higher Education

Entrepreneurial leadership emphasize on innovative, creative, resilient and a

dynamic organizational environment. It leads the organization through capability

building, collaboration, team building, sharing of responsibilities and providing

maximum leading opportunities. This study explored the impact of

entrepreneurial leadership on the performances of higher education in Khyber

Pakhtunkhwa. Three research questions guided the study and a qualitative

phenomenological research designed was adopted to explore the research

phenomenon. Purposive sample technique was used to select fifteen respondents

who were interviewed through open-ended interview protocols. The collected

data were analysed through thematic analysis approach following (Braun

&Clarke, 2014) mechanisms. The results explored that entrepreneurial

leadership focus on organizational vision and mission, innovations, resilient,

creativity, passion, risk taking and emphasis on the opportunities beyond the

existing resources of universities. It was recommended that HEC and HED of

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may design training sessions to university leadership to

prepare them through entrepreneurial leadership attributes for leading the

universities towards its desired targets.
