PROBLEM OF SOCIAL SERVICE DELIVERY IN NIGERIA LOCAL GOVERMENTS

ABSTRACT

For an effective and efficient good governance system in the local government system certain crucial problem must be resolved and a long lasting solution could be given for the social services delivery. The problem of social services is as a result of the inadequacies of the political personnel in the government sector. Certain issues affecting the efficient system of the local populace so as to enable a system - vibrant system of Local Self Government in Nigeria. This constraints affecting the social services delivery in Nigeria are Lack of Funds, Corruption, personnel, political interference, lack of autonomy, conflicts among others. This problem arises has as result of the Government not performing their certain functions, responsibilities and duties with drastic allocation from their superior counterpart.
