THE IMPACT OF OUTSOURCING TO THE PERFORMANCE OF STATE CORPORATION A CASE STUDY OF KEMSA (K)

ABSTRACT

The study sought to establish the relationship between outsourcing and the performance of state corporations a case study of Kenya Medical Supplies Agency. The objectives of the study include: establishing the impact of outsourcing, establishing the bottlenecks in outsourcing and finally suggesting mitigation measures to bottlenecks in outsourcing. The purpose of the research was to establish the impact of outsourcing to the performance of state corporations since many organizations had not achieved the desired benefits from outsourcing. The study is divided into five chapters. In which case chapter one provides the background of the study and the case study, provides the statement of the problem, the objectives of the study, the purpose and significance of the study and finally a conceptual framework that defined the topic of research through the explanation of the variables within the topic. Chapter two provides a review of literature according to different authors who had previously written about the topic under study. Chapter three is composed of the methodologies. In the process of data collection, the researcher used instruments such as self administered questionnaires and interviewing for primary data and extensive library research which data was analyzed and presented in form of tables, essay, percentage distribution as well as pie charts. Chapter four and five are the last in the study and provides the presentation of and analysis of data together with the discussion of the results and finally the summary, conclusions and recommendations to the management based on the study results and conclusions
