ABSTRACT
This report intends to analyseabout the law relating to consumer protection on goods and
services and its applicability in Uganda. It will take a case study of kampala I Wakiso district
with the purpose of finding out whether the consumers particularly at the local levels really
achieve these rights.
It will contain five chapters with an introduction explaining how the report will be compiled. For
example chapter one will include the introduction, background, objectives, methodology,
sampling techniques and the hypothesis, chapter two will provide for the effects of consumer
protection law on goods and services,applicability and respect for consumer protection rights and
laws for goods and services in Uganda, Chapter three will envisagethe exclusion clauses in
relation to consumer's liability,how contraproferentum rule protects consumers, researcher's
opinion and views, chapter four will analyse the problems facing consumers in Uganda, solutions
and the available remedies for consumer rights violations and lastly chapter five will show the
problem being investigated and what the researcher has come up with as the result of the study which will finally be concluded ina systematic way.
