As communication technologies improve, virtual teams are now a reality in today’s workplace. The Corona Virus (Covid-19) pandemic has future pushed the need for virtual project management. The new trend has allowed teams from different parts of the world to participate in project tasks and collaborate through internet-connected computers. They can be considered as remote team members or virtual team workers. Due to this fact, these members must work effectively and add value to the project using technology. This research examined the Information Communication Technology (ICT) application in the Nigerian Construction Industry, processes used by online project teams, and their management. A comprehensive questionnaire was designed and administered to the respondents (construction industry professionals) for data collection and analysis. The research findings show that although there are more indigenously owned construction companies in Nigeria than foreign-owned companies, the later tend to use ICT more; the factors contributing to this imbalance and possible remedies are discussed.
