The teaching and learning of integrated science in Ghana is plagued with many challenges. This article looks at some of these challenges and proposes solutions that can help in the situation. The article considers the problems from the teachers and students perspective, resource availability and nature of assessment.

On 12th June, 2018, I visited Sefwi Wiawso Senior High School in Ghana to observe a physics lesson on the topic “Electrical Circuit” taught by a physics teacher. It was a one hour period lesson.
