Community profile plays a significant role in improving the lives of a population through identification of health needs and establishing the most appropriate solution to the identified problems. Community profile is the process of collecting and organizing data to understand health and health-related problems in a community (University of South Wales and UNICAF, 2019, 2). The collected information should be very accurate showing the current situation with economic, educational, political and environmental data.  It is important to involve community members during the health needs assessment by interviewing them and carrying out an observation. Community profile enables researchers to identify a baseline condition and trends in society by assessing the possible potential impacts of various activities to help in decision-making (University of South Wales and UNICAF, 2019, 7). The profile records a broad range of information from factors affecting human health including cultural, environmental, lifestyle, demographical, political, economic and other social issues related to health. The essay will focus on three main sections namely; Demographic health needs, determinants of health, local policy impact on health and future areas for policy-related responses to minimize the identified health inequalities.
