This study examined the challenges and prospects of the Nigerian broadcast media switch over from analogue to digital broadcasting. The research methodology adopted is the survey research method. Questionnaire was constructed and administered to the representative sample of the study. The study found that digitization is very important to the growth of the Nigerian media, and that it has improved media professionalism. It was recommended that government and stakeholders in the media sectors should embrace information and communication technology and use if for the development of the Nigerian media, and media organizations in Nigeria should be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to meet up with the challenges of global news gathering and dissemination.
