The Synthesis and Characterization of Copper Nano Particles Using Pawpaw Leaves Extract

ABSTRACT

Nanoparticles have garnered significant attention in the scientific community due to their unique physio chemical properties and wide-ranging applications in various fields. This paper work on the synthesis and characterization of copper nanoparticles using pawpaw leaves extract. This synthesis was carried out using biological method; the use of plant extract with active biomolecules which act as a reducing and stabilizing agent and a metal salt. The concentration of the metal salt used was varied during the synthesis. The nanoparticle produced was studied using Fourier -transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and x-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD). To this end, the nanoparticles synthesized from a higher concentration of the salt tends to give an accurate result than that of the other with lesser concentration of the metal salt. This research show its s how concentration could be a major effect on the synthesis of nanoparticles in the case of this research carried out. This will continue to drive innovation and open new avenues for scientific exploration and technological advancements.
