Both China and Ethiopia are countries with a long history, ancient civilization, and splendid culture. The exchanges and friendship between the Chinese and Ethiopian people can be traced back to ancient times. According to historical documents, since the Chinese Qing and Han Dynasty, which is about the first Century A.D, ancient China had already established some indirect contacts with Axumite kingdom and other African civilizations through the Balkh in Eurasia and Parthia in the Persian Plateau.
