Facebook Posting and Youth Socialization: A Study of Imo State University Students

Facebook has become a powerful means of communication both in Nigeria and Worldwide, for it has united both lost family members and friends. This research work is on "Facebook Postings and Youth Socialization: A study of Imo State University Students". Four Objectives were put forward for the study among which are: ascertain the respondents's frequency of exposure to postings on Facebook to find out respondent's attitude towards relationship among IMSU Students on Facebook. Four research questions were put forward for the study among which are: What is the frequency of exposure of posting to IMSU Students?  What is the attitude of IMSU Students towards relationship on Facebook?  The purposive sampling technique was used for the study. The findings revealed that the majority of the students in IMSU would not begin a physical relations based on exposure to Facebook Posting.  The Researcher recommended among others that Facebook controlling bodies such as Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) and National Broadcasting Commission should introduce a rating system for Facebook medium as is done for movies.
