Impact of Talent Management on the Performance of the Employee: A case study of selected banks in Enugu state

This research exercise is on “impact of talent management on the performance of the employee; a study of selected banks in Enugu state”.  The research objectives include: to highlight the impact of talent management on the performance of employees in the selected banks, to ascertain the extent of relationship between talent attraction and employee performance in selected banks and to identify the extent of relationship between talent retention and performance in the selected banks. The research population comprises 93 staff of selected banks in Enugu state while the study used Taro Yamane formula to arrive at the sample size of 76. The data were analysed with simple percentage analysis while Chi-square was adopted in testing hypothesis one and Pearson Product movement correlation Co-efficient was used to test the relationships in objectives two and three. The research work also made the following findings: that talent management impacts positively on the performance of employees in the selected banks, that there is significant positive relationship between talent attraction and the performance of employee in selected banks and that there is significant positive relationship between talent retention and the performance of employees in the selected banks. It was recommended among Others believe that organizations should focus on the employee work environment since it promotes advantages to the institution by motivating the workforce who will in turn improve the service standards of the firm. Organizations should invest In training and development of staff as this will lead to achieving staff increased productivity and an increased understanding of the new technologies incorporated into the processes and practices that will lead to the realization of the institutions' goals and objectives. The study therefore concludes that talent management significantly improves organizational performance.
