The number of participants used for this study were 100 consisting of 66 males and 34 females. Using the big five inventory (BFI) and the organizational citizenship behavior scale, five hypotheses (there would be significant relationship between; 1) extraversion, a personality construct and OCB, 2) conscientiousness, a personality construct and OCB, 3) agreeableness a personality construct and OCB, 4 neurotism a personality construct and OCB, 5) openness to experience a personality construct and OCB) were tested using the correlational design. Results indicated that there was a positive relationship between extraversion and OCB; r = 0.393, P= 0.000, there was a positive relationship between conscientiousness and OCB; r = 0.475, P= 0.30, there was a strong positive relationship between agreeableness and OCB; r = 0.778, P= 0.00, there was no significant relationship between neurotism, and OCB; r = 0.116, P= 0.670, and there was a significant relationship between openness to experience and OCB; r = 0.019, P= 0.575. Lastly, it was noted that certain factors limited this study among which are the insufficiency in data and research in the area of OCB and personality traits, participants may not have given accurate information about their self and financial constraint and time factor was also another limiting factor for the researcher.
