ABSTRACT This study focused on finding out the Impacts of Information Technology to the success of Multinational Corporations. Research was conducted through different research method3 both p1imary and secondary so as to collect detailed and comprehensive data. The research considered Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) as a sample. The study revealed that multinational c01poration like Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has been attaining success in growth, expansion, diversification and increase in profits margins due to the embracement of infonnation technology infrastmctures. The aim of this study is to research the relationship between information teclmology (IT) investment level and efficiency in conducting banking activities, IT at decision making process, future orientation, technology orientation and firm performance in the comprehensive competitive environment. As per this aim, I researched the related literature and after developing a research model and hypotheses, I made numerous analyses. The data of this study were mainly obtained from Kenya Commercial bank (KCB) and prutly some different Multinational Companies in East Afiican region. In accordance with literature, the findings of this study showed that IT investments are vital component of finn performru1ce. If firms manage IT investments successfully, they will enhance firm pe1fo11nance ru1d thereafter success. Moreover, the study enlightens the success of Kenya Conm1ercial bank (KCB) and relates the success to the embracement of IT infrastmctures. Despite the challenges and 1isks in the brulking sector Kenya Commercial bank (KCB) has managed to out compete other financial institutions and emerge the bank with lru·gest branch network ru1d capital base in the region with all branches across the borders linked together to provide real time brulking services to its customers. With this runazing strategy, Infonnation Technology has facilitated the linkage and integration to supp01t real-time banking across borders in the region.
