The study examined internal control systems and the performance of commercial banks in Uganda with a case study of Stanbic Bank (U) Ltd which has population of 268 employees and clients in all departments from which a sample size of 158 respondents who were randomly selected. The study was quantitative since the major findings from the field were descriptively presented through the use of tables ar1d graphs for easy understanding and interpretation.
