The objective of this research is to study the sanitation system in Omdurman and take Bait almal residential area as case study also to know which environmental and design criteria are taken into account during selecting the sanitation system , in addition to solve the problems of sanitary system . The methodology of the study depended on different sources for data collection on the theories of the impact of sanitation system on the environmental in cities, i.e. references, previous studies, measurements, direct interviews with related personnel. The methodology used in this research is the descriptive analytical method. The issue of waste water disposal has become one of the biggest problems facing the world as a result of the health and economic risk. This water contains many pollutants, whether organic or chemical substances such as soap and detergents and harmful microbes in addition to heavy metals toxic and carbohydrates. The study was found a natural negative effect on the sanitation systems currently in use it is the presence of water under the surface of the residential area of Bait almal. Causes are: the rising in the level of Nile River, the topographic and geological nature of area (mud rock at different dimensions causes’ anon absorbent layer that prevents leakage of water to the ground), disposal of drinking water system and sewage system leakage.
