Abstract

The article x-rayed the Effectiveness of cost Management as a Panacea for efficient control of internal strives in Nigeria. We adopted a peace and conflict resolution approach to this article. We discovered that Cost management is a method of reducing operating or production expenses in order to provide less expensive products or service to consumers. In other words, it’s the process management uses to analyze its production and streamline its operations to keep costs low and manage expenses in the future. Avoiding conflict in work environment especially in a Nigerian setting and/or any sector for that matter be it in Government or Private sector, one cannot overemphasis the role cost Management plays as a tool for conflicts resolution in Nigeria.

This study was carefully done to examine the causes of conflicts in Nigeria, the causes of conflicts the gains and benefit the nation would have enjoyed if such conflicts were avoided. In a country that is the most populous black nation in the world and largest economy in Africa. Nigeria is a country that the sociology-political climate is seemingly setup for violence following the imbalances in the nation’s resource allocation. The Nation is blessed richly with natural resources but the citizens lack the basic amenities and struggle daily to have a course meal. These imbalances had increased the level of poverty in the land and had in recent times erupted in riots, civil disturbances and religious clashes/conflicts as well as unwarranted attacks, social vises and all forms of conflicts

Religious conflict has been noted as the worst conflict in human nature (Mauro, 2004).
