Using descriptive correlational survey design and with a sample size of 80 head teachers and teachers selected from special units schools in Suba —central; division Kenya, the study found out that there is low teachers training especially on how to handle special needs children in schools within Suba —central division. Head teachers and teachers should improve their skills of handling special needs learners by attending different training courses and workshops on special needs education. The major finding of this research was that most teachers who handle special needs children do not understand their needs and how to deal with most cases and therefore training is very important to teachers. Government through ministry of education to make sure that every primary and secondary school have at least 20% of teaching staff trained as special needs teachers to professional handle special needs learners.
