The Effect Of Time Management On Employees Performance Level On Construction Sector

Abstract

Time is recently the critical element in standardizing productivity, profits

and salaries and consequently important for the accomplishment of business, the

activities related to schemes, performance of the required tasks according to

specific standard times, for this, the need to study the problem of performing the

required tasks (performance Level) in the planned time in order to promote the

companies working in the field of construction to the highest levels of

performance by measuring the impact of time factors(time planning ,Time

organizing, time guidance, time control)

On the level of performance among workers, the study aimed to clarify the

importance of time in the project and the basic variables in construction projects,

the study also aimed to clarify the impact of time on workers, and whether project

directorates is careful to highlight the importance of time, to achieve this

objective, the researcher ran a field study on contractor engineers interested in

construction sector, consultants and project managers and others, as the

researcher has developed a questionnaire that included questions enveloping six

basic pivots ,each of which covers an element of time elements in addition to time

control and productivity. The researcher used (Kolmogorov Smirnov)test in the

analysis of the study and testing of hypotheses, to assure the natural distribution

of data and arithmetic averages and standard deviations ,multi- sloping and

simple sloping.

The study reached to results such as: there is an outstanding impact of time

elements on the performance of workers in construction sectors. The study also

revealed the high impact of time control on productivity; the study also explained

that determination of priorities is an important factor in project time control,

referring to workers’ performance level, it was proved the knowledge about the

factors of impact in deterioration of workers’ performance in construction sectors

on treating the deviation in project performance time schedule in order to promote

workers’ performance.

The study has come out with some recommendations such as: training

courses for workers in construction sector should be held in the sphere of

construction projects time control, and care should be given to the workers spiritual power.
