ABSTRACT
Communication strategy has become an indispensible element in organisational success. The effectiveness of organisation’s communication, however, is deeply rooted in the strategy it employs to disseminate information among its publics. Non -governmental organisations equally deploy communication strategies to engage its publics. This study investigated the communication strategies employed by three Non-governmental organisations. The study utilised qualitative research approach and employed case study as its design. In-depth interview and documentary analysis were adopted to gather data. Findings from study showed that the nature of the NGOs vary, organisations employ communication tactics and strategies in different ways while the motivations for selecting particular strategies differed from organisation to organisation. Recommendations for future research are also provided.
