The Effects of Partial Replacement of Maize with Ripe Plantain Peels Meal on the Performance of Broiler Chicken

This is a project work which dealt with replacement of a non conventional one to a conventional one. The title is " The effects of partial replacement of maize with ripe plantain peels meal on the performance of broiler chickens " . the result showed that there was no significant difference with birds fed 50%rppm and birds fed the control diet (100%maize) . This shows that maize can be partially replaced at 50% by ripe plantain peels meal on broilers diet.

EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF SPACING ON THE GROWTH AND YIELD OF CELOSIA ARGENTEA BY

Overview:This project work was carried out to determine the effect of different spacing on the growth and yield of celosia argentea. The parameters considered for the experiment include plant height, leaf length, numbers of leaves and population of perforated leaves per plant, taken at 3, 5 and 7 weeks after planting. It was observed that the beds treated with spacing of 30cm x 30cm performed better in terms of growth and yield rate, followed by the beds treated with spacing of 20cm x 20cm. I...

Changes in growth, digestibility and gut anatomy by broilers fed diets containing ethanol- treated castor oil seed (Ricinus communis L.) meal.

ABSTRACT Eight weeks feeding trial was conducted to investigate the chemical composition, growth response, apparent nutrient digestibility, gut characteristics and morphology of broiler chickens fed four diets containing ethanol-treated castor oil seed meal (ECAM). Two hundred day-old Anak 2000 broiler chicks were then allotted to the four experimental diets containing ECAM at 0, 100, 150 and 200 g/kg, respectively. Each treatment was replicated five times with 10 birds per replicate. The fin...
