Screening of secondary metabolites produced by a mangroove-derived Nigrospora species an endophytic fungus isolated from Rhizophora racemosa for antioxidant and antimicrobial properties

The work was focused on discovering bioactive secondary metabolites present in a Marine fungus , Nigrispora spp.

The antioxidant activity as well as the antimicrobial property of the various fractions of the extract were determined.

The study revealed that the fungi under study did not show significant antioxidant activity however showed Antimicrobial activity.
