ABSTRACT
The purpose of the study was to examine the hindrances to access to HIV/AIDS services among adolescents in Kampala District. The study had four objectives, which included; i) identifying the profile of respondents in terms of gender, age, and class ii) examining the level of hindrances of HIV services among teenagers living with HIV/AIDS; iii) examining the level of access of HIV/AIDS services among teenagers living with HIV and iv) to determine the relationship between hindrances and access of HIV/AIDS services among adolescents. The researcher employed a descriptive correlation survey design and the researcher employed a self-administered questionnaire to collect data on hindrances of I-lIV/AIDS services for adolescents. The findings indicated that most respondents (73.8%) were females adolescent aged between 16-19 years, majorities were in S.2 and S.4. The level of hindrance was generally with an average mean (2.235) which indicated that most of the respondents strongly disagreed. The level of access was with an average mean of (2.03) This indicates that there is a significant relationship that exists between hindrances and access to HIV/AIDS)S services among adolescents is significantly correlated, (all sig.
