Managing disease outbreaks in Nigeria has been an issue of great difficulty, mostly because; before cases are identified the disease would have spread to an uncontrollable level. incorporating Community Informants into the Integrated Disease Surveillance Systems can be used to strengthen Disease Surveillance and Response and improve community based surveillance. Here we tried to buttress the important role Community Informant plays in Disease surveillance and Response in Nigeria
