Cai & Lou (2020) argue that this is an opportunity to understand and better evaluate the ongoing issues facing the manufacturing sector. Doing this by assessing and evaluating the impact ofthe increase in challenge and the decrease in demand, aids the overall supply chain to remain viable in the long term. This paper assesses the strengths and weaknesses found in the manufacturing sector with a focus on illustrating the best way forward when facing a global pandemic.The current trade situation across the world is dwindled due to the pandemic situation (Cai & Lou 2020). This condition has led to the massive disruption in the global supply chain and has also shown the disadvantage of relying on a single region for most of the business needs.
