ABSTRACT
The steady rising demands on employees in corporate environments nowadays have dramatically created an attendant work stress on these employees. This study explores the effects of job stress and working conditional safety on organizational productivity and profitability. The researcher makes a special reference to a printing company. The descriptive research design type was adopted for the study. The population of the study comprises of all the staff in the Printing company, and Stratified Sampling Technique was used to select two hundred (200) participants. Data collected were analyzed using frequency, descriptive and Pearson Correlation and the test of hypotheses indicates that there is a significant relationship between job stress and organizational productivity; also there is a significant relationship between work safety and organizational productivity. It was therefore, recommended that, machines should be used to load and off load trucks in order to eliminate hazards that risk the health of loaders; hazards should be controlled at the source in order to avoid infecting workers; also psychological disorders should be reduced by avoiding giving challenging jobs that provide learning opportunity or career options to packers and mixers; regular medical checkups so as to determine workers state of health should be done.
