This seminar paper reviewed work approach uses related article written by different researchers has tried to application KBS for sustainable agricultural development. KBS is a computer program designed to simulate the problem-solving behavior of an expert in a narrow domain. Agriculture plays a key role in food security and economic development. Agricultural production has evolved into a complex business requiring the accumulation knowledge and integration of data and information from many diverse sources. In agriculture, knowledge based systems unite the accumulated expertise of individual disciplines like plant pathology, entomology, horticulture and agricultural meteorology, into a framework that best addresses the specific, on-site needs of farmers. KBS combine the experimental and experiential knowledge with the intuitive reasoning skills of a multitude of specialists to aid farmers in making the best
decisions for their agriculture production. The important of KBSs for technical information transfer in agriculture can be identified by recognizing the problems in using the traditional system for technical information transfer, and by proving that KBSs can help to overcome the problems addressed, and are feasible to be developed. Most of KBS in agriculture developed by
English, but for future work more experts and user simply to understand the system to mother tongue. So it will be important to developing by local language. Rule based system is the most common techniques used for KBS in agriculture production and system tools to develop using prolog language.
