ABSTRACT The study compared the laws affecting human sacrifice in East Africa. It has considered the history of human sacrifice in the new Stone Age and current East African culture. The rationale based on different beliefs in east Africa, definition of witchcraft and the issue of cannibalism, believed to be closely related to human sacrifice. The has examined courts approach non the existence of doctors and practice of witchcraft. It has established how the laws have frustrated the judiciary compared and analyzed how the witchcraft and the criminal law have interacted, compare the roles of stakeholders. The study utilized doctrinal approach, made critical reference to relevant books, articles in journals; reports and analysis of court cases on topics were done. And the research accessed international conventions.
