DEMOCRATIC GOVERNANCE AND CRISIS OF DEVELOPMENT IN NIGERIA 2009 – DATE

ABSTRACT
It goes without saying that the question of democratic governance and challenges of development in Nigeria has become the most important one which revolves around the existence of the country in space and time. The question could be paramount than issues on economic situation, political factors nexus between the religious groups and polity issues on national integration as it concerns the country and questions on institutional development rule of law, education and so on of views has swung between causes. One effect of the foregoing issues, although, many solutions have been proffered, little has been achieved to attain over all speedy and actual development in the country and there has to be recurrent crises in almost all sectors of development. It is argues that Nigeria has a great chance to learn from the barrage of crises that have haunted national development since 2009, by way of institutionalization, so much so that there could be a fitted and regular way of doing things for overall development of the country. The prospect is enormous of incumbent and future administrators can learn to look at national experience since 2009 to sieve our pros and cons for pence, unity and stability of the country. This study was designed essentially as a descriptive survey; the study was covered the period of 2009 and date. Data were collected from federal office of statistics (FOS) statistical technique employed was moving average method of time model. These are the summary of all the chapters in this project, which comprises five (5) chapters including the bibliography and appendix.
