Prediction Of Reaction Mechanism And Absolute Rate Constant Using Computer Algorithm: The Bromate Ion In Acidic Media Reaction

ABSTRACT Computational and theoretical advances have progressed sufficiently so that it is now possible to calculate reaction rates directly from ab initio theory without the intervening use of any analytical method. The rate constants of chemical reactions are calculated using information about the structures, energies, and Vibrational frequencies of reactants and transition states. Computer algorithms help in determining the structures of the molecules and in understanding how molecules re...

Synthesis Of New N,N-Disubstituted Aryl- And Alkylaryl Sulphonamides And Their Antimicrobial Properties

ABSTRACT The reaction of α–toluenesulphonyl chloride with various readily available amino acids in basic medium afforded α–toluenesulphonamides (1a-k) which had their acid function subsequently amidated with diethyl amine to obtain their corresponding new N,Ndiethylalkanamido substituted α–toluenesulphonamide derivatives (2a-k). The electrophilic addition of p-toluenesulphonyl chloride with various amino acids' nitrogen gave p-tolylsulphonamide derivatives (4a-k) which upon further ...

Thermodynamic Properties Of Azadirachta Indica )Neem) Gum

Abstract Some of the physiochemical properties of Azadirachta indica Gum (Neem) Gum were studied. They include: moisture, ash, nitrogen hence the protein, pH value and specific optical rotation. The results show that: moisture content is 13.07%, ash content is 3.13%, Nitrogen content is 4.9%, protein is 32%, specific optical rotation is –65.5, and pH is 6.5. The number molecular weight of the sample was estimated using osmotic pressure measurement and found to be 4.0×106 g/mole. Thermodyn...

Analytic Study Of The Role Of Namal In Toombak

The effect of natron on chemical structure of Toombak was studied. The analytical techniques used in this study are:- Flame Emission spectroscopy which was used to determine sodium and potassium ions, content and the results wa...

Strategic Design, Quantitative Structure Activity Relationship And Selective Synthesis Of Some Pyrazoline Derivatives

ABSTRACT Numerous pyrazoline derivatives have been found to possess considerable biological activities; this fact had led us to model and design 120 trisubstituted 2-pyrazoline derivatives by linking pyrazoline ring system with different substituents in position 1, 3 and 5. Quantitative structure–activity relationship (QSAR) studies were carried out in order to get models that can be used to predict the anti-cancer activity of designed compounds. Data set of compounds consisting of pyrazol...

Development And Validation Of An Assay For Bisoprolol Fumarate And Hydrochlorothiazide Multicomponent Drug

Abstract A simple, precise, accurate and economical Reverse phase HPLC with a detection UV, method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of Bisoprolol fumarate and Hydrochlorothiazide in pharmaceutical formulations. Better separation was achieved using Cyanide column (250mm × 4.6mm, 5μm), maintained at 30 ͦC. The mobile phase was composed of buffer: methanol in the ratio of 82:18 (v/v), (the buffer was 1% solution of tetra butyl ammonium hydroxide, adjusted to pH ...

GC-MS Analysis Of Capsicum Annum Fixed Oil And Assessment Of Antimicrobial Activity

Abstract In this study, the fixed oil of Capsicum annum was extracted from seeds with n-hexane at room temperature. The oil was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) GC-MS analysis of the studied oil revealed the presence of 27 components. The major constituents were: octadecadienoic acid methyl ester (56.57%), hexadecanoic acid methyl ester (17.60%).Minor constituents were octadecenoic acid methyl ester (5.62%), methyl stearate (5.50%), and stigmasterol (2.37%). The oil w...

The Effect Of Wet Blood Cupping On Alanine Aminotransferase Aspartate Aminotransferase And Albumin In Khartoum State

Abstract Hejamah or Blood cupping or bloodletting is a traditional Islamic treatment and a part of the prophetic medicine recommended by the prophet Mohammed, Peace Be upon Him .Hejamah is a form of cupping therapy (sucking blood out of the body for healing purposes). This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of hijamah on the liver concentrating specifically in the effect on liver enzymes (AST and ALT) and albumin protein levels. This study was accomplished in Khartoum state on rando...
