This study was mainly concerned with various aspects of extradition including its history, development, nature and the shortcomings of the law and practice of extradition. The study overed the law and practice of extradition in Kenya. The objective of this study was to bring out the challenges faced by the law of extradition, ~pecifical1y why States prefer other methods such as rendition as opposed to extradition and what reforms can be made in the law and practice of extradition. Several books and articles by different writers were utilized in writing this dissertation. lie findings of the study show that the challenges exhibited in the practice of extradition have [orced most states to apply other methods of rendition in attaining justice.
