ABSTRACT

In today’s world, being an educator is an difficult challenge. Beyond the day to day of tutoring and marking, educators/ professors are faced with pupils with behavioral or family issues, learning disabilities, and more. Due to economic condition of the country most states find it hard to motivate or give incentive to their teachers. This situation has raised public concern as well as negative perception of stakeholders towards the schools and ultimate goal of education in schools. This study therefore tailored to examine the effect of motivational incentives on business educator’s performance in Teaching business studies.

It was revealed that there was statistically significant effect between Fringe Benefit and Business Educator’s performance in Teaching Business Studies. The study also revealed that there was statistically significant effect between financial reward and recognition on Business Educator’s performance in Teaching Business studies and there was significant relationship between motivational incentives on Business Educator’s performance in Teaching Business Studies. This study concluded that motivational incentives have a significant positive impact on the performance of business educators in teaching business studies. Among other recommendations is that schools or institutions should develop a well-rounded incentive program that includes a mix of financial rewards, recognition, career advancement opportunities, and professional development support. This will ensure that educators are motivated by various factors and have opportunities for growth and advancement.
