Based on the finding of the study, it was revealed that there was a significant relationship between discipline and student academic performance. Finding of the study show that head teachers, teachers and students acknowledge the significant influence of discipline on academic achievements. However, rules and regulation were found not significant (F0.436, Fprob=0.731, at P=0.05), but still they should be well defmed for students not to beach. Findings indicated that there was a positive correlation between discipline and academic performance (rs = 0.646), using spear son’s correlation (re). The study therefore recommended that; a) students should be given chance to practice self-governance. This ensures willingness to cooperate among students. They should be allowed to participate in various committees to formulate rules and regulation, programs, actives with the school administrators and teachers. b) Rules and regulation: these are usually departmental, draw principal staff They should be therefore human, clearly defined and no body should intend to breach them and should be obeyed without hesitation. The value and relevancy of these rules x should be explained well and teacher should not seem to be above the law and finally students should be trained in skills importing discipline and law in their counterparts.
