The study investigated study habit and academic performance of visually impaired students in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The study sought to examine the relationship that exist between study habit and academic performance of visually impaired students. Furthermore the study proceeded to assess whether there is any significant difference in the study habit of males and females visually impaired students in Uyo Local Government Area. Four null hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Ex-post facto research design was adopted for the study, while the study population was found to be 50 visually impaired students. Purposive sampling technique was used to draw 40 students to participate in the study. The Study Habits and Academic Performance Questionnaire was adopted to elicit response from the students. Pearson Product Moment Correlation and Independent t-test were used to test the four null hypotheses. Null hypotheses 1,2, and 3 on the relationship between formulating study timetable, note-making during study periods and concentration during study periods and academic performance respectively were rejected while null hypothesis 4 which tested gender difference between males and females visually impaired students was retained. Based on the findings, recommendations were made in order to encourage visually impaired students to develop good study habit that will make them excel in both internal and external examinations.
